I am trying to add a styleClass to a grid column type textField, using the new 1.2 feature styleClass. Problem is that i don't see the class rendered in the HTML..

Am i missing something?

Thanks, Michiel

Hi Michiel,

Sorry for the late response. The styleClass is not implemented for the grid components yet, therefore, it should not appear among the attributes listed for a grid component. There is a bug in the design XML, we will fix it in version 1.2.2 by removing the styleClass attribute from grid components.

Thanks for your feedback again,

Hi Ibrahim,

Any idea how to solve this issue?

  • inside a grid i have a column with for example a user name.
  • I want the user name to be displayed like a hyperlink (underlined and with a pointer cursor style)
  • when i click the username link, i will open another panel (tab or dialog)

Problem with using a hyperlink component is that is opens a new browser window..

I try to avoid creating a button in the grid to open the new panel, i think a hyperlink style is much cleaner. I now have a textfield with an action in the grid, wich works ok, but it's not clear that you can click the column.

Hi Michiel,

The hyperlink opens a new browser window if its "column" attribute is set. In your case, you can use the hyperlink's labelColumn attribute and define a click event to achieve your request. Please make sure that the "column" attribute is not set.

<grid dataSource="yourDatasource">
    <hyperLink labelColumn="column1" font-style="Underlined" font-color="Blue">
        <click action="yourAction"/>

Hope this helps, Ibrahim

OK, that works. The only thing is now, that i cannot sort the column without the column attribute.
Are you planning to include the styleClass for grid components in a next release? Until then this will work.

Thanks, Michiel

Hi Michiel,

We are planning to include styleClass for grid components in a next major release, it won't be implemented for the release 1.2.2.

Best Regards, Ibrahim
