Hi everybody, working with FS 1.9

In the datasource definition if I choice, Table, the issue DML mark insert, update and delete, and if you need it can save changes, add new rows or delete rows.

But, if you choice QUERY in the datasource definition you can not mark, the DML and you cannot save, delete or add a row.

How I can skip this problem?

Regards everybody.

Hi Jose,

Datasource Definitions of type QUERY cannot issue DML. This is the designed behavior. There is no way for Formsider to issue DML for a query. There has to be a database object present. So this is not a bug. This is how it works.

If you'd like to issue updates to your SQL query, create a view using the query. Then, base your datasource definition on this view. Next, in the datasource definition -> attributes section uncheck the updatable checkbox for non-updateable columns in the view.

Not every view is updatable by default. If you want to control the way a view issues DML or make an not-updatable view, updatable you can use instead of triggers.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
