I can set SEACH FIELD value for LOV using:

api_lov.setsearchfield('pj_cennikLOV', 'pj_cennikLOV1.kod', 'HELLO LOV WORLD' );

Question 1: How can I obtain a value that value back?

api_lov.getSearchFieldValue('pj_cennikLOV', 'pj_cennikLOV1.kod') is missing!

Question 2: How to execute a SEARCH button functionality from PL/SQL? EXECUTE_QUERY executes datasource related to LOV, but ignoring pre-set search fields. (that's why question 1 above is being asked, to be able to set related api_datasource bind variables).

Hi Tomeo,

If I understand the problem correctly, you don't need to do any of these at all. All you need to do is to bind the search field to a bind variable in a datasource in the IDE.

Did you read the LOV Tutorial? http://theformspider.com/learningcenter/tutorial-22-how-to-use-lov/

Kind Regards,

Hi Yalim,

I know how to use a LOV, we have hundreds of them in our app. But my question was pointed to get an value which user enters to LOV's search field.

Currently there is setsearchfield procedure. Do we have also a GET version ?

api_lov.getSearchFieldValue('LOV_NAME', 'LOV_NAME.SEARCH_FIELD')

Thanks, Tomas
