Hello all,

So, i've just finished an [apparently] succesfull installation(ver 1.9), an clicked <finish> button. The installer tried to launch Formspider IDE in a new browser tab (Firefox, Windows 10 - but all I've got is an "Internal Server Error" message. Setting JAVA_HOME to javax32(c:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_92) or javax64(c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_80) does not bring any news. As I am a brand new "wannabe Formspider developer", any help will be apreciated.

Thank you!

Hi Cezar,

We're sorry to hear Formspider installation is failed. Please send us the log files located under [formspider_installation_path]/logs and [formspider_installation_path]/apache-tomcat-6.0.29/logs/ folders.

Kind Regards

This is the log content I've found under the Users directory( c:\Users\MyUser\Formspider Installation Logs) ....

Hi Cezar,

This is not the installation log and it seems OK. Please send the logs folders under C:\Program Files (x86)\Gerger\FormspiderServer and C:\Program Files (x86)\Gerger\FormspiderServer\apache-tomcat-6.0.29 to contact [@] theformspider.com after compressing it in a ZIP file.

Kind Regards

In c:\Program Files (x86)\Gerger\FormspiderServer\ there is no "logs" directory. I've sent an email to which I attached a zip with "logs" directory under c:\Program Files (x86)\Gerger\FormspiderServer\apache-tomcat-6.0.29.

Hi Cezar,

Your error is probably related to the Java version you're using to run tomcat. There is a known bug in the apache tomcat 6 when it's run with java 8, which is stated at this link. We haven't proved it yet. We're now trying to reproduce the problem. We'll let you know when we found something.

There has to be tomcat starter ".bat" file under c:\Program Files (x86)\Gerger\FormspiderServer directory. While waiting our final solution, you might change the java path in this file to something other than Java8 and try to run the tomcat again.

Kind Regards
