Hi guys, The first issue is Java 8. Took me a while to figure that FS does not work with it on RedHat boxes (6,7 workstation). Is this true? The installer runs well, but the catalina.out says: Apr 29, 2016 3:35:28 PM org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina start INFO: Server startup in 584 ms Apr 29, 2016 3:35:38 PM org.apache.jasper.compiler.JDTCompiler$1 findType SEVERE: Compilation error org.eclipse.jdt.internal.compiler.classfmt.ClassFormatException The second issue is the 1.9 installer. I think this has happened before, the desktop is reporting 30 days trail passed?! How is this possible since I maybe used the FS1.8 on a different VM last year, and this are all fresh new VM's with the DB as well, and a new installer. Thanks! Dean |
Hi Downunder, My colleague Serdar will help you with the first issue. But I can chime in for the second issue. We used several expiration mechanisms in the past. But usually a Formspider trial you download expires at a certain date, regardless of the time you install it. Currently, the expiration date is July 1st 2016. I recommend downloading a new 1.9. Then we will email you a new trial license automatically. If you already have a 1.9 installed which is expired, try running the license script on the expired installation. It will probably work. If it does not, run the newly downloaded installer and make a fresh new Formspider installation. Then run the license script we sent you in this new schema. Kind Regards, |
Thank you Yalim, the above worked! I did not know about applying the sql script since used an old email account which I never read :) All good now. Hi Downunder, Happy to hear that the issue is resolved. No worries about the email address. We will never spam you. We occasionally send emails about Formspider and our webinars. You always can unsubscribe with a single click and we try hard to keep a clean list. Kind Regards,

Hi Downunder, Formspider shouldn't have a problem with Java 1.8 or Redhat Linux. The reason might of your issue be that you're using a JVM that doesn't support all standard features of Java Spec. If it's the case, I can suggest trying with Oracle JVM. Kind Regards, Serdar |
