Trying to install formspider to both Oracle Database 10g Express Edition 10.2.0.1 and Oracle Database 11g Express Edition 11.2.0.2.0 - Beta,

For database 10g, the error is
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01653: unable to extend table SYS.SOURCE$ by 1024 in tablespace SYSTEM

For database 11g, the error is
ORA-01691: unable to extend lob segment FORMSPIDER.SYS_LOB0000029342C00001$$ by 128 in tablespace SYSTEM

What are there the workarounds for these errors of Express Editions?

Both errors are related to the insufficient tablespace. We are currently working on adding the neccessary tablespace controls to the installer and this issue will hopefully be fixed in new release. Until then you can apply the following steps to overcome this problem:

  1. Run this query:
    select file_name from dba_data_files where tablespace_name='SYSTEM'
  2. You should obtain the data file path from the first query. Use this path with the following command:
    ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE 'the_path_from_the_first_query' RESIZE 1024M;

You may rerun the installer after these steps.

Actually, "1024M" on the statement is not a fixed value, you can decide best size for your datafile. Just dont make it below current size :). 1024M is 1 GigaByte.
