Hi formspider team,

We have only a total of around 20 dialog boxes in all of our system. This is unlikely to increase. We are facing this problem after installing formspider 1.9 and never faced it earlier. The problem is that when a dialog box is closed the whole system hangs. The only solution is to restart the application fresh.

Kindly advice.

Regards.

George.

Hi George,

I have some of questions to investigate this issue:

  • Does it happen every time you try for every dialog?
  • Do you use events for the dialog? If yes, which ones?
  • Do you use focusGain or focusLost events for the dialog components?
  • Do you use focusGain or focusLost events for the visible components of the screen that you open the dialog?

At last, it would be very helpful if you share a sample application which demonstrates this issue.

Best regards,
Serdar

Hi Serder,

Does it happen every time you try for every dialog?

The answer is No.

I have noticed the following.

  1. System hangs only in tablelayout panel and not hangs in xyLayout panel.
  2. System does not hang if there is only one row in a tableLayout panel. However, if one more row is added even for drawing a simple line the system hangs.
  3. System hangs simply by closing an opened dialog box though no activity is done inside the dialog box.
  4. System does not hang if the dialog box is re-sized and closed.
  5. Even without any events the system hangs in the tableLayout

I think this much feedback will help you to identify the problem. However, if you still need a sample application I will make it after listening from you.

Regards.

George.
