Hi,

See the title... The Oracle Forms applications ring the "computer bell" when a user makes an error or commits pending changes. Many users have get used to these sounds. Would it be possible to do the same? The Formspider application are very quiet...

Kind regards, Jan Willem

Hi Jan,

There isn't an API for this. However, you can use Formspider external methods to call any javascript function. Please see http://theformspider.com/learningcenter/how-to-use-external-method/ for details.

Thanks Serdar,

i have search for javascripts ringing the bell. It appears to be very difficult and to run in all browsers, a .wav file is needed. Many developers advise not to use the bell (ascii 7) anymore... I will discuss this with the users.

Kind regards, Jan Willem
