I'm connecting via Port A to the production DB and Port B goes to the Test-DB. Currently I copied the whole Formspider/ tree to Formspider-text/ and set up different ports in config.xml. Works, but is ugly.

Anyone got an idea how to easily deploy formspider a second time to the same tomcat?

Tomcat has ..../tomcat6/conf/context.xml U can describe connection resource to test db and and production db. every connection has name like :
<resource name="jdbc/formspider_ds_test" auth="Container" type="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource" driverclassname="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver" factory="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSourceFactory" url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@xxxxxxxxxx:1521:xxx" user="FORMSPIDER" password="xxxxxxxx" connectioncachingenabled="true" connectioncacheproperties="{MinLimit=5, MaxLimit=300, InitialLim it=5, ConnectionWaitTimeout=30 InactivityTimeout=600, TimeToLiveTimeout=600, Aba ndonedConnectionTimeout=600, PropertyCheckInterval=300 ValidateConnection=true}"/>

In tomcat .../tomcat6/webapps deploy or copy like: .../tomcat6/webapps/formspider_prod/ and .../tomcat6/webapps/formspider_test/

to /tomcat6/webapps/formspider_prod/WEB-INF/web.xml file, put connection resource name from context.xml for production DB connection.

to /tomcat6/webapps/formspider_test/WEB-INF/web.xml file, put connection resource name from context.xml for test DB connection.

Hi dipr,

It is also possible to use Formspider Installer to deploy Formspider Middletier. Just select "Formspider Middletier Components" and proceed installation.

Would be truly additive to another formspider already existing in the target tomcat?
