Hi guys,

I am doing some tutorials and tried to connect to my schema. I do not have Ora. Developer installed. I can use the Squirrel SQL Client 3.6 locally just fine.

The problem is connecting to formspideronline.com, this is my Alias:

Name: formspideronline.com

Driver: Oracle Thin Driver

URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@formspideronline.com:1521:XE

Schema: your_schema

Password: your_password

Can anyone check the connection and advice please?

Thanks

Dean

I see your email in the user list, so I think you should be able to connect using your user name (email) and password.

Hi Dean,

This is probably the old connection string. The connection parameters changed about 1 or 2 years ago when we moved it to Amazon Cloud. The new ones are:

Hostname:fsdb.formspideronline.com Port: 1521 SID: awsdb

We migrated existing user names and passwords (well at least we tried to :-) ). So you should be able to connect using them. If they don't work, simply open a new account.

Kind Regards,
Yalim

It is working with new account, I am using:

Schema: SCHEMA_****(Database username)

Password: PASSWORD (Database password)

Thank you
