How or what do I need to put into the fileFilter attribute of the file upload component

In case this is still a question, I found a way -

<fileupload name="FileUploader" filefilter=".txt, .csv" domain="DefaultCLOB"/>

Make sure there is a space between file extensions, and there is no *.

I still have a question, though. If my filter has only one extension, and it is registered with some application (like .txt files are opened with Notepad), then it shows that application name in the file type drop-down box. But how can I make it display something like "My Files" instead of "Custom Files" in the Open File dialog when I have multiple extension masks?
