HI, in the IDE, when trying to validate , i get sometimes the error: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'root'. on the other hand I cannot enter the char 'r' inside the ide from my keyboard. any idea? eric |
Hi Eric, The issue with the "r" is related to a bug in Google Chrome. This only happens in the XML Editor. I'd suggest to use another browser for the time being with the Formspider IDE. (or a Mac. :-)Chrome in Mac is just fine). The second issue is a Formspider bug. Although I haven't been able to confirm this right now, you are probably connecting to the Formspider IDE through a router that forwards the request to the original machine that runs the Tomcat on which the Formspider middle tier components are installed. In this case, there is an issue with the XSD validation that causes the error you are seeing. Simply click the save button and quickly click it again. :-) Let me know if this workaround works for you. Hope this helps. Kind Regards, |
Hi Yalim, The "Cannot find the declaration of element 'root'." issue still exists in v1.11 Double-clicking on Save (or Ctrl+S) does not work well. I have to make multiple Save attempts before FS saves the changes. Another user said it was https/http issue (http://osqa.theformspider.com/questions/2330/cvc-elt1-cannot-find-the-declaration-of-element-root-at-line-1-column-147) but I'm not using https in this environment. Any update on that? Regards, Serge Hi Serge, Are you in a LAN or are you connecting via a firewall? Whe I use FS IDE via a port forwarding, I run into this issue but clicking the save button a 2-3 times solves this issue for me. I don't encounter this issue when I am in the same local network with the application server that runs Formspider. Kind Regards,

Hi Eric,
I also noticed the issue with the 'r' key. It started happening in Chrome 32 (or 33 not sure) It does not occur using Firefox (or IE) Not had the cvcelt error though.
