Hi guys,

can you tell me how it is possible to find out whether the device the application is executed on is a smartphone or a tablet? The goal is to create different layouts of an application. On a tablet more content could be presented because of the larger display than on a smartphone. I want to check which device is used and according to this load the suitable layout. Is that possible?

Thank you!

Hi Lisa,

The Beta 2 does not have this API but FS Mobile will have this API eventually. The Beta 2 is focused on smartphones. Even though the apps you will build with FS Mobile Beta 2 will work on tablets just fine, FS Mobile Beta needs a few more layout features and components so hat you can create tablet specific apps.

Kind Regards,
