Hi all,

Forspider offers a filtering facility for the grid. However, I want to request you to add one more item to the grid function menu with an extended filtering facility. Currently formspider filter applies to only one column. My request is to give user facility to enter multiple columns with multiple condition filtering. Here the user does not have to limit his filter to a single column but to all columns in the datasource with appropriate conditions.

If formspider does not have any plan to provide a similar functionality I request you to kindly tell me as to how to add a column to a popup menu item as in your filter menu. This will facilitate me to write my own custom extended filtering in a separate popupmenu.

If formspider could give this facility, every other developer did not have to worry about adding this facility to his application separately which could save lots of developer time.

Hi George,

We created an internal case for this request. Unfortunately, we don't have immediate plans for this feature even though we like the idea. Hopefully, this comes as a request from a professional support customer and we get to implement it.

You can implement this yourself using a dialog window which imitates a popup menu. With a little bit of CSS, I think a Dailog can be made to look like a decent popup menu.

Kind Regards,
