As the title states I want to put a line break/new line in a button label or any label.
I have a kind of vertical button (30x190 px) and want to put something like the following as the label:

-----
>

>
-----

Hi Marcel,

Currently, it's not possible to put a line break in a button label. However, you can put a line break in a textLabel label using the <br> tag.

Hope this helps,
Ibrahim

Hi Marcel,

I registered a ticket in our issue tracking system about this feature.

Regards,
Ibrahim

Hi Marcel,

What are you trying to achieve? Maybe we can offer an alternative solution?

@Ibrahim: Thank you! @Yalim: As I described in the initial statement: I have a button with vertical form and want to place arrows, pointing to right (greater than-signs), at the top and at the bottom of the button.. Above, I tried to draw it with code formatting to describe it better..

Hi Marcel, I understand. I wanted to understand the business need behind it hoping that maybe I can offer an alternative solution. For example, you can draw an icon and put that on the button. Just a thought.

It's not that necessary.. It would only look better. ;)
I tried the icon solution before. But the button "disappears" after assigning a transparent PNG to it.
I created an image with the arrows at the top and at the bottom. The rest of the picture (background) was transparent and it was exactly the same size (30x190 px) as the button. I assigned the image to the buttons via icon-parameter. When I run the application you can only see the the image. Therefore you see nothing but the arrows - the button has disappeared behind the "icon". Hovering makes the button appear.

Hey, Ibrahim I just noticed that what you say is wrong.. You say I could put a line break in a textLabel label by using <br>... However, that is not possible as the use of '<' in the label attribute invokes the "The value of attribute "label" associated with an element type "textLabel" must not contain the '<' character." error.. ;)
