To all the FS Team,

This is not a question but rather just a bit of feedback for you.

We purchased FS a couple of weeks ago (just after new pricing model announcement) and I'm just going through the learning process; basically whenever I get a spare hour (which is not often) I am fiddling around with things and trying out features.

I estimate that I have perhaps spent fewer than 2 days working with FS and I have to say how amazing I think FS is!! I've spent hardly any time with it at all and yet I am already very productive with it, I am kind of putting together a simple'ish proof of concept application and progress is excellent; it's not nearly complete yet but I've managed to get the basic structure of the application up and running in a "view-only" mode already including all the login/authentication stuff too.

We have been toying with the idea of building out some new products and because of the nature of business that we are in our choices have been OA Framework, Oracle ADF and Apex and this has always been a problem for us because whilst OAF and ADF will give us the user experience we want, the learning curve is huge (in spite of what Oracle claim) and we've not been able to afford the time to spend on it and whilst Apex will allow us the time we need it doesn't give us the user experience we want and so we have been delaying the things we want to do for quite some time (like all software vendors, we are short of time all of the time).

FS is going to give us the best of both worlds; it gives us the same user experience as OAF/ADF (almost) and it also gives us the development speed of Apex.

It's not often one gets excited about a new development tool but FS is VERY exciting!!

Keep up the good work :)

Thanks,

Craig.

Hi Craig,

Thank you very much for the kind words. Comments like these make it all worthwhile for the team.

And stay tuned. The best is yet to come. :-)

Kind Regards, Yalim

No problem :)

I'll put together a paper covering my experience of this prototype application I am building once I get a bit more of it done; it's just a question of finding a bit of time, as per my post above I'm just getting the odd hour here and there to play with FS but I'm loving every minute of it.

Can't wait for the next release to see what the team are working on - exciting stuff :)
