Hi all,

Kindly help with a solution.

In the POST_INIT procedure I have the following script for panel, TEST_PANEL, given below. The first command to hide the SEQ_NO works. But the second command to hide the SEQ_NO@ does not work.

        api_component.setvisible('TEST_PANEL.SEQ_NO', 'N');
        api_component.setvisible('TEST_PANEL.SEQ_NO@', 'N');

The TEST_PANEL: (The panel does not appear correctly in the output. Therefore, I removed first character from some of the lines.)

<panel borderType="TitledBorder" borderTitle="Favourites">

events>

postInitialize action="POST_INIT"/>

events>

tableLayout>

<row heightpolicy="Dynamic">

<cell hAlign="Full" vAlign="Full">
    <grid name="CM_MENU_FAVOURITE_GRID" dataSource="CM_MENU_FAVOURITE" enableColumnResize="Y" enableColumnMove="Y" enableColumnSort="Y" enableColumnFilter="Y" enableColumnFunctions="Y" enableColumnHide="Y">

      <column name="SEQ_NO@" headerLabel="SEQ_NO" width="50">
        <textField font-style="Bold" name="SEQ_NO" visible="Y" column="SEQ_NO"/>
      </column>
      <column visible="Y" headerLabel="DESC1">
        <textField font-style="Bold" name="DESC1" visible="Y" column="DESC1"/>
      </column>
    </grid>
  </cell>
</row>

</tablelayout> </panel>

Hi George,

In order to hide a grid column you should use api_component.setGridColumnVisible instead of the api_component.setVisible API.

api_component.setGridColumnVisible('TEST_PANEL.CM_MENU_FAVOURITE_GRID', 'SEQ_NO@', 'N');

Hope this helps,
Ibrahim
